Diploma in Pharmacy is a two-year programme approved by the Pharmacy Council of India and the State Board of Technical Education & Training. It is the entry qualification for registration as a pharmacist with the State Pharmacy Council and to practise in community and hospital pharmacies.
The course pairs classroom teaching with extensive practical and dispensing work, plus 500 hours of practical training in a hospital or community pharmacy. Diploma holders can also lateral-enter the second year of B.Pharmacy to continue toward a degree.
