Choosing your pharmacy path.

A short guide to picking the right program, plus the questions we get asked most often.

Three routes

What each program leads to.

Pick the one that matches the kind of pharmacist you want to be in five years.

B.Pharmacy

The four-year undergraduate route. Good fit if you want a broad foundation across pharmaceutics, pharmacology, pharmacognosy and pharmaceutical chemistry — and the flexibility to head into industry, M.Pharm specialization, or higher studies abroad after graduation.

Pharm.D

Six years, clinically oriented. Choose this if you see yourself as a clinical pharmacist — hospitals, clinical research, patient counseling, pharmacovigilance. Pharm.D students rotate through affiliated multispecialty hospitals from third year onward.

M.Pharm

Two-year postgraduate with a specialization. Best for B.Pharm graduates with a GPAT score who want to deepen into a discipline (Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Pharmacognosy, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Industrial Pharmacy) and target R&D, regulatory or academic roles.

FAQ

Questions we hear often.

What entrance exam do I need for B.Pharm?

TS EAPCET is the primary route for convener-quota seats. Management-quota seats do not require EAPCET but do require Intermediate eligibility.

Do I need GPAT for M.Pharm?

Yes — GPAT or PGECET. Without a valid score, candidates can only apply through spot / management admission, subject to seat availability.

Is Pharm.D recognized internationally?

Pharm.D is approved by the Pharmacy Council of India. Recognition in other countries varies and usually requires additional licensing exams (e.g. FPGEE / NAPLEX in the US).

What's the average placement package?

Average ₹2.5 LPA, highest ₹6 LPA across the last five years. See the placements page for the full breakdown.

Is hostel accommodation available?

Yes — separate hostel blocks for boys and girls within the Vaagdevi group campus. Allotment is handled after admission; contact the office for current charges.

Can I switch between pharmacy specializations during M.Pharm?

Switching specialization mid-program is not permitted. Choose carefully at the time of GPAT/PGECET counseling — Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Pharmacognosy, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Industrial Pharmacy.

What is the refund policy if I withdraw?

Refund rules follow AICTE / state policy. See the fees page for current refund slabs by date of withdrawal.
