Dr. Lakshmi Velpula leads the Department of Pharmacognosy. Her two-decade career in natural-product research focuses on the identification and standardization of medicinal plants from the Deccan region. She curates the campus herbal garden and supervises M.Pharm thesis work in phytochemistry.
Research interests: ethnobotany of Telangana flora · phytochemical isolation · herbal-formulation standardization · antioxidant and antimicrobial screening.
